Meet us at the Belfast Maritime Weekender
Come on down to Belfast’s Maritime Mile for a weekend of fun, adventure and plenty of boats!
The Belfast Maritime Weekender will take place on the 4th and 5th of September, with stands, food truck, music and sailing all along Sailortown, Donegall Quay and the Titanic Quarter.
The event has been organised by Belfast City Council in partnership with Maritime Belfast Trust, and is supported by Belfast Harbour, Titanic Quarter Limited, the Odyssey Trust, Department for Communities and Maritime Mile partners and media partner Q Radio.
Artemis Technologies will be there in full force with model boats, branded merchandise, and the chance to win a very exciting prize. Join us at our stall to learn more about what we do and our plans for Belfast over the coming years.
We are exhibiting alongside the Game of Thrones themed tours, W5 and National Geographic – just to name a few! There will be options to join in on Lagan, cycling and walking tours as part of your festival experience.
The festival will be the first council event since the Covid-19 pandemic, which will bring together people from far and wide in a safe format where people can learn about Belfast’s maritime heritage and the exciting innovative role the industry will play in the future of transport.
CEO of Artemis Technologies, Iain Percy OBE, said:
“We are so excited to welcome everyone down to the Belfast Maritime Weekender. The event is a great way for locals to see maritime vessels in action as well as learn about what an important role the industry can play in planning a sustainable future.
“At Artemis Technologies we respect the history of the maritime industry and acknowledge the important role it has in the decarbonisation of world-wide transport. The maritime weekender is an amazing opportunity to showcase our technology and design services and to join in on the fun happening down at Belfast Harbour.”
Some of the activities will include getting aboard a large selection of vessels and interacting with the crews. Some of the key features will include the ILV Granuaile and the SS Nomadic. Onlookers will get to watch demo racing and other on-the-water displays.
You can also expect to see colourful art illuminations, dazzling street performers and nautical themed activities including treasure trials and dance picnics. During the evening there will be food available for all and some live music for those who enjoy a dance.
